PMC is a social club that pairs the love for the Chinese tile game, Mahjong, with an exclusive space and network to learn the game, socialize and play.
No, we allow players of all abilities to join the club, but we do not teach at our social events. You must have some level of experience playing American mahjong.
We hold a variety of mahjong socials throughout the year with most months having four mahjong events: two socials and two drop-ins (both daytime and evening). All events will be held on Wednesdays*. We do not have any PMC events in July. See our events calendar for more details.
Overview of Events:
20+ Mahjong Socials throughout the membership year. Catered meals, snacks & drinks are provided at the mahjong socials, with wine served during evening gatherings.
20+ Mahjong Drop-in for members. As a bonus, you can bring guests for a small fee. We will not serve catered food or drinks/wine at the drop-ins but will always offer NA beverages and snacks.
This means up to (4) times a month you can play mahjong with the PMC! We will have tables assigned by skill level – if you have some experience playing (even if you just recently learned), we will make sure you are at the right table.
*Starting in April 2025, the Phoenix Mahjong Club events will be held at Found Arcadia (4140 N 44th Street, Phoenix 85018)
You will have access to the PMC member database, allowing you to reach out and form your own games with others in the club.
In partnership with Luxe Mahjong, PMC members will be given an exclusive discount code to purchase Luxe Mahjong sets.
Food and drinks are provided at all mahjong socials; not just pretzels and candy (although we offer those as well!), we cater meals for each event and offer wine for evening social events.
We will have light snacks and NA beverages at our mahjong drop-ins.

We offer three different options to join the PMC:
Option 1: The most cost-effective option is Full Membership for the 2025-2026 year for one lump sum of $895 (plus cc fee) Click here for payment link.
Option 2: A payment plan for Full Membership. The price is $80/month to begin April 1st, 2025 and will end March 1st, 2026. Click here for payment link.
With a full membership (option 1 or 2) you have the opportunity to play up to four times a month and attend all socials, which are always catered with full meals (including alcoholic beverages at the evening events). This works out to approximately $20 per event, without having to lift a finger!

$50/month includes two drop-ins a month for a total of $150.
Drop-ins are held Wednesdays starting in April at Found Arcadia (one at lunch time from 12-2 p.m. and one in the evening from 5-7 p.m.).
At drop-ins, we provide all the necessary items to play and manage tables by skill level. Guided instruction will be available for beginners. Non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks are also provided.
This membership does not provide access to our socials, those are reserved for full members.
After your three-month trial period, you will have the option to join as a full member at a prorated rate.
